(1) The police personnel will get the salary and allowance as determined by the Government of Nepal after being paid every month from the date of reinstatement.
(2) A police officer who is promoted to a post in a higher pay scale will get the starting pay specified in that pay scale. But if the salary he is getting in his former position is equal to or more than the minimum salary of the promoted position, the salary of his promoted position will be determined as follows:-
(a) If the salary he was getting in the previous post is only equal to the starting salary of the promoted post, by adding one salary increment of the higher post to that salary,
(b) If the salary he is getting in the previous post is more than the starting salary of the promoted post, by adding the salary increment until it reaches the salary received in the previous post and also adding one salary increment of the higher post.
